Dhcp table not updating ip assignments

This is not to be confused with DHCP relay on the MX itself, which is described at the bottom of this page.

The Meraki MX appliance and Z1 teleworker gateway both provide a fully-featured DHCP service.

You can enable and configure the DHCP service on each VLAN individually, or for the whole network if VLANs are not enabled.

This problem might occur if more than one DHCP server owns the address.

When a new client gets an IP address, DHCP doesn't update DNS with the record. The DHCP and DNS are on the same box (which is also the primary DC).

Solution: Determine the proper ownership of the address.

Correct either the DHCP server database or the host's network configuration.

If you want to forward DHCP requests for a configured subnet or VLAN to another DHCP server rather than serving DHCP on the Z1/MX appliance, you can do so by choosing the Relay DHCP to another server option for Client addressing and entering the IP address of the DHCP server you wish to forward requests to.
